Jonathan Richman

Jonathan Richman is one of the most original and prolific living
songwriters of his generation.
He helped invent punk and then
left to sing quietly. Music shouldn't hurt a baby's ear, he said,
and over the next 20 years not a single infant was harmed. "
He lifts spirits, and as hot ‘n’ humid
as the Knitting Factory was, you somehow felt refreshed and rejuvenated after seeing him play.
Richman renewed your faith in humanity with a sophisticated wit that can tell us things about
themselves and ourselves at the very same time."
