About half of the Orbital episodes every year contain generous live insights from the wonderful Canadian artists that furnish my show with the products of their musical imaginations. Conversations usually take place in the wild - at convenient public places around Toronto, typically during moments when a new release is imminent.

We met in restaurants, hotels, forests and alleyways, libraries, backyards, offices and elevators. 

This year I caught up with some old friends, excited to share a fresh yield of songs that would shortly be released in an album format, or

sometimes, with a digital single in advance  of a forthcoming album.

I also was lucky to make new friends crafting debut material or preparing live performances to boost a recent release.
