Incendiary Australian singer Liz Stringer is in town for an intensive barrage of live performances featuring songs from her new record
All The Bridges on Roaring Girl Records.
She'll be airlifting into the Orbit early on in the show this Friday and her songs of vivid passion and gorgeous heartbreak will be warming the flight deck live.
Big talk is in the air about the power of a new award-nominated film,
Busking Turf Wars.
It screens on Saturday 9 July at U. of T.'s
JJR MACLEOD AUDITORIUM.
The star, Steven Lockmoore (aka Christy Coysh), a busker from Leeds, is in Toronto as part of Toronto’s ReelHeART International Film Festival and will hopefully be persuaded to come and scrub a little guitar on our orbital corner.
And at 6:00, the progressive and influential Canadian composer and singer Sienna Dahlen will make herself available for a few minutes of chat concerning her ethereal new disk with saxman Joel Miller, Dream Cassette.
They are currently touring this multi-faceted gem, and will bring it in full force to The Rex next Wednesday 13 July.
