Long time Toronto roots music programmers Acoustic Harvest welcomed a sizable audience into a music party in a Scarborough church recently. Treasa Levasseur was unable to resist the ambiance and dialled her short opening set onto max liturgical and then joined headliner Lynn Miles for one tune of spontaneous accordion combustion.
Lynn was as full-voiced and gregarious as ever, selecting her repertoire evenly from her recent Downpour, We'll Look For Stars and Tumbleweedy World LP's with some new tunes and a surprise Surrender Dorothy, which stilled the air and sent chills through the already-enraptured crowd. Look for her return to town next month at Winterfolk XXIII Blues and Roots Festival - Feb 14, 15, 16, 2025. Equal parts laughter and tears guaranteed.
